Does your student struggle with Social Emotional (SEL) and Regulation Skills? Does your student have a Social Emotional IEP goal? As a Special Education teacher, I have many students with social-emotional goals targeting social skills, adaptiveness, emotional regulation, and more. Often, I role-play or describe scenarios with them to help apply these skills to real life. All of the scenarios are for a school context, the support students in social-emotional skills specifically at school.
This packet contains 10 activities in the area of "Situational Adaptiveness" for a school-based setting. These scenarios are for interactions and problems that students will commonly have with friends and peers, and help them discuss and evaluate how they can respond or address what they are facing.
Scenarios like...
- a test got rescheduled
- you're not in a group with your friends like normal
- there was a power outage at school
... and more!
